If the Catholic Church is wants to lead its followers to a rediscovery of faith then I think the church needs to be more focused on fixing whats wrong with the institution before rediscovering faith. I think people will always have faith in Jesus Christ but have lost their faith in the church.

If you want to compare corruption levels of Latin American countries, it is better to look at Transparency International’s CPI scores for a longer period than just the rankings of a single year. Look at these clear charts of this blogpost with historic data of corruption levels in Latin America :

You will notice that Mexico has been a bit of a “flat-liner” for some time, except for the last two years where it experienced a significant down trend.
